Mayim Bialik (the Blossom of "Blossom") will be on What Not to Wear tonight. Clinton is going to slip her something in a drink and prove what a man he is by trying to take her flower. When he can't go through with it, he's going to come out to her while begging for forgiveness. Joey will say, "Whoa!" Six is going to try and bag a super hot male model. Stacey is going to get her period while in a pair of tight white pants leading to embarrassment. All in all, it will be a very special What Not to Wear.

Dexter news!

John Lithgow is going to play a serial killer on Dexter this season! This show and Penn and Teller's Bullshit are some of the few reasons to have Showtime. I wonder if Harry the Sasquatch will make an appearance. Maybe he could be sitting in the background at a restaurant or something. Do you think Lithgow's character will target spunky young men who just gotta dance? Questions, questions, questions...

Garden gnomes

We love gnomes at the Vaught house. We have 4 in the garden (5 if you include the gargoyle), one small one rides in my car, there is another one living on my desk, and my fantasy baseball team's mascot is a gnome in St. Louis gear. Lindy, Jess and my mother in law keep the gnomes coming and the collection usually grows during the holidays. A few have died after being in the weather. Sure they're tacky, but that's what makes them awesome. Anyway, here is a link to some garden gnome facts.

Jay Bennett (formerly of Wilco) kicked the bucket this past weekend. He had recently filed a lawsuit against Jeff Tweedy for unpaid royalties. Now he's dead. Coincidence? I think not. It was Mr. Tweedy in the Ball Room with the wrench.

Oh you silly Republicans

Some republicans are putting forth a resolution to rename the democrats the Democrat Socialist party and they wonder why their party is going down the tubes. You've got a loudmouth extremist as the voice of your party in Limbaugh. A guy who can't speak for 2 minutes without tasting his foot in Steele. And now you've got a group who thinks that moderation and trying to help change the world for the better equates with Socialism. Keep it up guys, you're making things easier for us.

Goodbye "Earl"

"My Name is Earl" has been cancelled. It hasn't been that great for awhile now, but it was good for a chuckle or two. Now Earl and Randy have time to rid themselves of more thetans.

"Chuck" and "Better off Ted" are both coming back in the fall. Woohoo! The tv landscape has been looking rather grim lately, but at least a few shows worth watching will be on.

Lost finale - Jacob

Does anyone else think that Jacob is the truly evil one and not the man in black? If he hadn't saved Kate from getting busted for stealing, maybe the cops and her mom getting involved would have scared her straight. He was there to give Sawyer the pen to write the letter that is ultimately his downfall as a man. He apparently brought Locke back to life even though he may have been better off dead (though I'm glad that wasn't the case). He caused Sayid to fall back which saw Nadia getting killed thus leading Sayid to a rather dark path. He's there when Jack starts to doubt himself and gives him a little push, perhaps towards more doubting. He seems like an enabler and not for good. I don't care if he wears white and the other wears black, it seems a bit misleading. Maybe the man in black wants to kill Jacob because of the games he plays with innocents. Just a thought.

Weisure?

Here is an article about how the line between work and play is being blurred by technology. There's nothing better than seeing a family out to dinner with the dad on the phone talking business. Now the argument back is, at least he gets to go out to dinner instead of being stuck at the office. This might be true, but I guarantee much of the email checking and texting isn't vital. That's right, I'm hunched over and shaking my cane at all you youngsters with your fancy technogadgets. Get offa my lawn!

Good White Stripes news

There could be a new album by next year and Meg appears to be better. That is super good news for Logan. It's the only band he wants to see live and hopefully they find their way back to Indy.
