Here are a few quick book reviews for you:
Tinkers by Paul Harding - Very well written, but it's not the easiest read. It's the story of a man on his deathbed intertwined with the story of his epileptic father who left his family when said deathbed ridden man was still a child. Somewhat gloomy, no? It won the Pulitzer this year.
A Reliable Wife by Goolrick - This was pretty meh. Set in a dreary Wisconsin town in winter, a wealthy man places an ad in the paper for "a reliable wife." Said wife gets to him with the intent of slowly killing him to get to his money. A few twists here and there, but it didn't ever really grab me. I got through it pretty quickly, but there were a few drawn out passages. The book probably could've been shortened by about 50pgs and it's already less than 300.
The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Larsson - I'm a bit late to this one, but it was very good. Since it's a mystery, that's all I will say. I burned through the last 200pgs though.
