It's the shortest day of the year. It started with some shoveling then a pre-sunrise snowball fight with the boys. Now they are downstairs playing video games while I'm screwing around on the internet. I probably should be reading as I have about 30 books on the shelf and a Kindle under the tree. Oh well. I might take the boys to see TRON today or I might wait until tomorrow so we can be out of the house for a bit while Lindy is trying to work.
Not much else is going on around here. We watched Scott Pilgrim vs. the World and it was ok. Very clever, but I wanted a bit more out of it. Maybe if Edgar Wright had called up Simon Pegg for a bit of help, it would've been better.
I have a ton of new records. I've already talked about the first three White Stripes albums, but yesterday I got the new vault package with a White Stripes picture disc and a Greenhornes demo album. I also received a 7" from the Radical Dads which has a member of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in it. Only 100 of those were pressed, so hooray for that. I think January will see more coming into the mailbox.
Oh, Coop bought me Goldeneye for the Wii and it is awesome. I haven't played very much of the campaign, but the online multiplayer is great and free. Also, if you get it, make sure you get a classic controller too as it makes it much more fun.
Well, that's all. Merry Winter Solstice to all.
